Les Recettes; Healthy Strawberry Cheesecakes

  • 4 Servings
  • 10 minutes preparation time
  • 85g Amaretti biscuits
  • 200g extra light soft cheese
  • 100g 0% fat Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp golden caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g sliced strawberries
  • 1 tbsp strawberry jam
  1. Place biscuits in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Divide the crumbs between 4 serving dishes.
  2. Beat the soft cheese, vanilla, sugar, yoghurt and lemon zest until smooth. Spoon over the crumbs and chill until ready to serve.
  3. When ready to serve, stir the jam in a bowl until smooth and add strawberries. Divide between the cheesecakes and serve.

Fresh skin; c'est belle!

Facial masks are good for helping clear up your skin, and making it appear fresher. You can spend money on buying them in shops, or you can make your own.

Oily Skin
  • 1tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3tsp honey
  • 128g strawberries
  • Blend everything together well in a blender. Apply to face and leave for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

Dry Skin
  • 1 tsp powdered milk
  • 1 tbsp runny honey
  • 1 tsp aloe vera gel
  • 2 drops essential oil
  • 1 tbsp pulverised almonds

    • Mix the ingredients together and apply to face. Leave for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water and pat dry.
    Normal/Combination Skin
    • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
    • 3-4 mashed strawberries
    • Stir everything together and apply to face. Massage and leave for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

    What is the perfect weight?

    Many women today have a "perfect" idea of weight in their heads, and most women have the same idea. The media is partially to blame for this, with their skinny models and photoshopped images. Truth is, the "perfect weight" is different for everyone. An adult woman 5'6" should have an average weight of between 120lb - 160lb, whereas an adult woman that is 6' should weight somewhere between 138lb - 179lb on average.

    What is the perfect weight? Is there a perfect weight for everyone, or is the perfect weight different depending on who you are? Is the perfect weight that of the stick thin models that walk the cat walk, or is the perfect weight a healthy weight for you individually?
